Colombia Zarza Pacamara E.A. Decaf Espresso - Single Origin.

Jonathan Gasca, his wife Alejandra and his lovely family are the backbone of Zarza coffee in Huila, Colombia. The Gasca brothers and their family have been passionately producing coffee at scale for 80 years. Their progression and achievements over that time are nothing less than spectacular.

Jhonatan and his family have taken specialty coffee to new heights, and their coffee reflects their passion for the industry. This lot is an extension of their hard work; a Pacamara produced on their Bella Vista farm and processed through E.A. sugarcane decaffeination.

An incredibly special and uncommon Decaf microlot, that is well deserving of our ‘Top Shelf’ label.

The decaf process didn’t strip any of the body—this pulls a rich, syrupy shot that holds up beautifully in milk. It’s rare to find a single-origin decaf with this much character, and knowing it comes from the Gasca family’s farm in Huila makes it taste even better.

I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor in this decaf—it has that smooth, chocolatey finish I usually only find in regular espresso. The single-origin taste really comes through, and it pulls a gorgeous crema every time.

Emma ★★★★★

Finally, a decaf that actually tastes like a real espresso instead of watered-down brown water. I pulled a double shot this morning and the crema was thick and caramel-colored, and the body held up beautifully even in a cortado. You can tell the E.A. process makes a difference because there's zero o
